June 1st, 2008
Welcome to the new and improved shawfarm.com web
site!
We hope you enjoy the many new features we have
included in the new site.
As you will see, the new site provides
opportunities to read about our 100 year
history, and look at some of the pictures taken
along the way. Our home delivery customers will
find it much easier to review our product
offerings and help them make changes in delivery
orders. Those interested in taking advantage of
our service can now get most of their questions
answered on line while they decide if home
delivery works for them.
We also try to answer many of the questions
folks have about our milk products.
One of the frequently asked questions about out
farm is “do we use artificial growth hormones”.
The short answer is no, but click on growth
hormones and learn much more about how FDA looks
at the issue and how that effects consumer’s
right to know
Interested in one of our Monday night Barn
tours?
We now provide you an opportunity to sign up on
line by clicking on Monday night barn tours.
So many times we get questions about
pasteurization and how it affects taste and food
quality. Still others wonder if we sell “raw”
milk. To get all of these answers, just visit
the “How and why” section of the web site.
We also provide a special web page on our new
“certified organic” milk products, sold under
the name “New England Organic Creamery”
available both at our farm store and at several
other locations. Find our list of wholesale
customers by clicking on links.
The weekend of June 28th and 29th,
we celebrate our 100th anniversary;
we hope you’ll stop by.
We’ll have live radio with 980 WCAP broadcasting
live from the farm including a special edition
of Saturday Morning Live, starting at 6am.
Saturday Morning Live is hosted by Shaw Farm
owner Warren Shaw. The broadcast can also be
heard all around the world by logging on to
www.980wcap.com and click on “listen”.
We’ll have lots of fun stuff for the family.
We kick things off on Saturday with a skydiver
“flying” into our event while we are serving
breakfast to some of our longest and most loyal
customers. We have located over 200 customers
who have been supporting our farm for 25 to 75
years.
Music, face painting, caricatures, hay rides,
barn tours on the hour and hands on cow milking
all happening during the day.
At 4pm we continue our thanks to you day with a
cook out at the ice cream stand.
Sunday will be “make your own sundae Sunday” at
the stand featuring our ice cream and local
strawberries from Parlee Farm beginning at 2pm.
We’ll also have a scavenger hunt in a hay pile
for kids at 4pm
Sunday will also include barn tours, face
painting, caricatures and cow milking.
Lots of fun!!!
A special thanks to Orville Deutchman, our web
guy and computer expert, for doing a fabulous
job of developing our new web site.
We love the
new website, we hope you do also.
See you on the 28th and 29th!
